Q1. I have a Website hosted with alpha (yourdomainname.com). How do I update my Site (FTP)?

A1. alpha provides detailed software tutorials on FTP access to your domain for Mac and PC.

If you are familiar with FTP, the details needed for access are:

• Host: ftp.yourdomainname.com
• Username: yourusername
• Password: yourpassword

Q2. I have an Internet access account with alpha. How do I access my 10Mb of space to create my own homepage?

A2. To create your own homepage using your 10Mb of space see the detailed software tutorials for Mac and PC.

If you are familiar with FTP, the details needed for access are:

• Host: mail.alpha.net.au
• Username: yourusername
• Password: yourpassword
• Directory: public_html

Q3. How do I get details of how many people have been accessing my Site (logs)?

A3. You can view details of access to your Website by going to www.yourdomainname.com/webstats/ in your Web browser (enter your username and password).

If you'd like to process the raw access logs yourself you can download them from your server space (in your logs folder).

Q4. How do I access my homepage (for Internet access clients) in my browser?

A4. All alpha dialup Internet access clients are provided with 10Mb of space to create their own homepage. To view your homepage in your Web browser go to www.alpha.net.au/~yourusername. That little squiggly thing is top left of your keyboard.
