Windows ME - ConnectingTo configure your Windows ME PC for alpha dot net access, complete the following instructions. Double-click My Computer then Control Panel.
Double-click on the Dial-Up Networking icon and then Make New Connection.
This will open the Dial-up Networking Wizard. Configure as follows.
Type a name for the computer you are dialing: alpha dot net Click Next.
Area Code: 02 Click Next then Finish. In the Dial-Up Networking window, click on the alpha dot net connection with your right mouse button and select Properties with your left mouse button.
Configure as follows.
Use area code and Dialling Properties: Unchecked If you are on a LAN (Local Area Network), you should consult with your Network Administrator before going any further, as changing the numbers in this section could result in the loss of your LAN connectivity. Click the Networking tab.
Type of Dial-Up Server: PPP: Internet, Windows 2000/NT, Windows ME Allow network protocols: TCP/IP Click TCP/IP Settings...
Server Assigned IP Address: Checked Click OK and then the Security Tab.
User name: yourusername Click the Dialling tab.
This is the default Intenet connection: Checked Your Windows ME setup is now complete. See below for details on configuring your Internet software (for example Web browsers).
