Windows 2000 - ConnectingTo configure your Windows 2000 PC for alpha dot net access, complete the following instructions. Double-click on My Computer and then double-click on the Control Panel. Double-click on Network and Dial-up Connections.
Your screen should now look like the one below :
Double-click on Make New Connection and you will be presented with the following screen :
Click on Next and select Dial-up to the Internet.
Click Next to continue to the next screen.
Select I want to set up my Internet connection manually and click on Next.
Select I connect through a phone line and a modem, then click on Next.
Area code: Leave blank Click on the Advanced button to display the following screen:
PPP: Checked Click on the Addresses tab.
Internet service provider automatically provides one: Checked Click on Next to continue to the following screen.
Username: yourusername Click on Next to continue.
Connection name: alpha dot net Click Next. Setting up your Windows 2000 Internet connection is now complete. See below for details on configuring your Internet software (for example Web browsers).
